Eschenliebe tells the unusual love story of a man with a tree. A story in which the protagonist boldly claims that this love must rewrite the chapter of sexuality. On a summer night, he works himself into a frenzy that gradually turns into despair as dry leaves from his beloved "Ash" fall on him. The renowned Freiburg playwright Theresia Walser writes a role tailor-made for the Luxembourg actor Steve Karier. A small relationship comedy for one person or an environmental farce in times of climate change? How do we perceive our natural environment? What relationship characterizes each individual's connection to the nature surrounding them? In the park or in one's own garden? And after all: why are love stories between humans and trees so rare?
