The play "The Cat Eleonore" by Caren Jesse, featuring Brigitte Urhausen, directed by Sara Goerres, with stage design by Jörg Brombacher, tells the story of Eleonore.

Eleonore is a woman who realizes one day that she is actually a cat. With financial independence, nothing stands in the way of her transformation.

She gets a cat fur suit made and gradually alters her eating, sleeping, and social habits to those of a cat. Internal dialogues with Dr. Wildbruch, a therapist fascinated by her feline behavior, show that her thinking increasingly aligns with that of a cat. Her distancing from human perceptions, compared to those of a cat, is described so convincingly that her transformation appears enticing. Nonetheless, Eleonore navigates the impossibility of fully becoming a cat, as biological transformations can't be overcome.

Her life now revolves around hunting mice and sleeping, driven by instinct. The play explores how her senses expand and society becomes irrelevant, raising the question of individual responsibility in society.
