Giving great female composers an equal place – that is the goal of the concert series Women with Wings in which the Trio Dora and the actress Fabienne Elaine Hollwege create lively and vibrant portraits of the partially forgotten female composers and provide intimate insights into their lives and work.

She Just Passed By tells the story of the relatively short but fascinating life of the Croatian composer Dora Pejačević. Born into an aristocratic family, she was repulsed by this social class all her life. She found inspiration and cultural exchange in the company of intellectuals such as Karl Kraus and Rainer Maria Rilke. While her works were often performed in her homeland during her lifetime, they disappeared from the musical stage after her early death. The line between concert and theater is blurred and what remains is the composer, the woman, her music and her life.
