Delve into the heart of portraiture through a selection of more than 50 works, mainly composed of oil paintings, but also enriched with precious engravings from the 17th and 18th centuries as well as some drawings from the 19th and 20th centuries.
Each work reveals not only the image of an era, but also the fascinating story of its figures and their creators. This exhibition invites you to explore the links between art and history, between the individual and their image, in a discovery where each portrait becomes a testimony to the past, while echoing our own perception of the face and identity.
