Scrutinizing a collection of over 1,000 prints dating from the 15th to the 20th century acquired by Villa Vauban in 2020, artist Julie Wagener made an eclectic selection of works conveying messages that are more relevant today than ever.
By drawing parallels between past and present, Wagener freely interprets the chosen works of art and their narratives. She projects them into present-day society to spark a discussion on the systems we follow and the lives we lead.
