Concert Actart - From Saint Germain en Laye, birthplace of Claude Debussy, to Montfort l’Amaury, last residence of Maurice Ravel: a journey through the colors, fragrances, lights, and inspirations of these fabulous geniuses, monuments of the dawn of the 20th-century music.
Poetic journey through 3 masterpieces: the two sonatas, and the trio.
Debussy's Sonata for cello and piano, written in 1915: whimsical, colorful, elusive, almost improvised work.
Ravel's Sonata for violin and piano, completed in 1927: refined, exalting the tones of each instrument, a work imbued with homage and modernity (notably with the irruption of blues).
And finally, Ravel's trio, composed in 1914, a luminous, dancing, vibrant, and abundant work, masterpiece of his maturity, and of all trio literature.
