François Couperin speaks of the Royal Concerts as follows:
They were composed "for the small chamber concerts, where Louis XIV had me come almost every Sunday of the year [...] I played the harpsichord there. If they are as much to the public's taste as they were approved by the late Roy, I have enough of them to give a few complete volumes of them in the future". Anne-Catherine Bucher delivers her interpretation, surrounded by the violinist Aurélie Wenzel and the gambist Stéphanie Houillon, to the great delight of the audience.
