Sophie Scholl. A perfectly normal girl who likes to meet friends, go to parties, find her first love, quarrel with siblings, and get into trouble for bad grades at school. A girl who gradually grows up, moves to the big city for her studies - and who is sentenced to death for high treason and executed in Munich on 22/02/1943. But what transformed Sophie, once a fervent admirer of the Nazi regime and an enthusiastic member of the Hitler Youth, into a young woman ready to sacrifice her life in the fight against fascism? In a fast-paced multimedia performance combining video art, sound collage, and theater, director Alexander Ourth brings historical documents, music, and texts from the 1920s-1940s to the stage, demonstrating impressively that Sophie Scholl's story, particularly in times of resurgent right-wing forces in politics and society, holds an important message for our society.
