Guided tour of the new exhibition
As soon as they enter the exhibition, at the entrance to the main hall, visitors discover the new exhibition made up of printed texts, documents, and objects in display cases, mechanical devices, audio recordings, films, projections, computer graphics, and interactive screens. This mix of media means that there is something for everyone.
To complete the exhibition and give a voice to those who lived through this difficult period, audio testimonies complete each panel of the historical exhibition. They can be consulted using a smartphone via QR codes.
While the exhibition essentially follows a thematic approach, the two timelines on the ground and first floors allow interested visitors to delve into the details of the story.
Short biographies allow visitors to discover the men and women directly involved. This is also the approach taken by the biographical niches in the main hall, to be discovered before or after visiting the historical exhibition proper. In 11 niches, 28 historical figures and 16 residents of present-day Luxembourg recount their lives, as victims, civilians, or actors.
