The faces of democracy - conference
Anabela Mota Ribeiro (*1971, Trás-os-Montes), journalist, creator of cultural programs, novelist, doctoral student, is the author and presenter of the famous television program Os Filhos da Madrugada, "Children of the Dawn". These programs (2021, 2022, 2024, RTP3) are based on a hundred testimonies whose transcriptions have been published (Temas e Debates, Círculo de Leitores). Drawing on these life stories, as poignant as they are singular, she will evoke the slow democratic construction of Portugal and compose a true mosaic of Portuguese society over the last 50 years.
In a second part, she will dialogue in Portuguese with the famous photo-reporter of the Carnation Revolution, Alfredo Cunha, on display at the Nationalmusée um Fëschmaart with a major photographic exhibition dedicated to the 50 years of his career.
In French and Portuguese – simultaneous interpretation.
