Photo Opportunities and Scenic Views are two series of photographs presented outdoors in the city center of Esch-sur-Alzette.

In 2005, Corinne Vionnet began conducting online keyword searches on vernacular images of tourist sites around the world, after observing that most snapshots were conscious or unconscious representations of existing images of that location. This led her to examine how one selects the optimal location to photograph a remarkable site and how one eliminates what is deemed superfluous for this constructed reality of leisure. Are human beings socially conditioned to take photos they've seen before? How do social media and the Internet shape our perception of the built environment and its most significant characteristics?
