Expo « Transitions » par Séverine peiffer
TRANSITIONS is an artistic project carried out by students from several high schools in Luxembourg and the artist Séverine Peiffer, offering participants the opportunity to explore their identities and emotions through photographic creation.
Since its invention in the mid-19th century, photography has allowed man to discover his own image and, at the same time, to explore all the facets of his being. Accompanied by the artist Séverine Peiffer, young adults have experienced artistic language to express their thoughts, their fears, their doubts, their identities and finally, to reveal themselves to themselves. While some have chosen to show their optimism and determination, others have chosen the path of vulnerability and sensitivity, or have preferred to keep a part of secret. All have taken up the challenge of affirming their personality through artistic creation and particularly wet collodion photography (a process dating from the 19th century).
His photographs speak of the emotions of these young people facing the world around them, attest to their presence in the world and propose a dialogue between them and the public who watches them. It is also an opportunity for them to take a breath in their school curriculum, to open the school, and at the same time, to take the time to assert themselves as individuals in today's society.
