► LORDLS
LORDLS (L'Or dans les souvenirs) is the solo project of Jacky Carême. His first LP is a concept album built around 8 pop songs with the steel industry past of the Greater Region as a common thread. Throughout his catchy tracks, Jacky Carême demonstrates remarkable talents as a songwriter, writing French lyrics encapsulated in modern poetry and melodies full of personal landscapes.
The sonic aesthetic is defined by a shattering musical arrangement by Roland Wiltgen (retired professor of the Esch Conservatory of Music) for a string quartet and brass, as well as Jacky's new trap rhythms on electronic drums.
The cherry on the vinyl record is that Belgian poets Sabine Caprasse and Marie Derley wrote the lyrics for the first and last track; and Julien Primout, the Luxembourg rapper from Freshdax, mixed Luxembourgish and French lyrics to enhance the single Géigeliicht. The sound was recorded in the prestigious ICP Studios (Angèle, Coldplay, Indochine, etc.) in Brussels and mixed in Liège at the Le Chênée Palace studio by Lucas Serruya.
The release party will be celebrated on Friday, September 20, 2024 at the Entrepôt d'Arlon and all songs will be available on streaming platforms. The single Géigeliicht is already available on LORDLS' YouTube channel and streaming platforms.
