Exhibition - La(rt) Sauvage - Alessio Sciamanna
The exhibition draws its inspiration from a fascinating 17th-century legend, that of La Sauvage de Lasauvage. This mysterious woman, dressed only in her wild hair, with sparkling eyes and sharp teeth, haunts the surrounding forests in popular stories.
Through her works, the artist wanted to bring this legend to life by confronting it with modern artificial intelligence technology. Indeed, by using AI to generate the patterns that will then be painted on large canvases, she creates a striking contrast between the ancient story and contemporary artistic practice.
Each painting in this series depicts La Sauvage in all her terrifying and captivating splendor. The works are the result of a collaboration between the artist and artificial intelligence, offering a unique perspective on this ancestral legend.
