The Wenzel Circuit takes you through the 1000 years of history of the city of Luxembourg. It takes you through the oldest districts of the city and some of the fortifications that have survived the ravages of time, which were inscribed by UNESCO in 1994 on the World Heritage List. During this walk, you will pass, among other things, the Bock rock (cradle of the city of Luxembourg), the castle bridge built in 1735 and the Corniche, commonly called "the most beautiful balcony in Europe".
This route was named after Wenceslas II (or Wenzel), Duke of Luxembourg from 1383 to 1419. During his reign, part of the third wall, aptly called Wenceslas Wall, was built to protect the inhabitants of the valley.
