Valerius Gallery warmly invites you to the opening reception of their new exhibition

ANDRÉ WENDLAND
'ARSCHBOMBE'

'Arschbombe' presents the first solo show by German artist André Wendland (1995) at Valerius Gallery. The theme of the exhibition revolves around the subtle disruption of idyllic scenes. The overarching concept, captured by the title 'Arschbombe,' symbolizes this sudden break in serenity, much like a calm water surface disrupted by a cannonball splash.

André Wendland's work is deeply influenced by cartoons and popular culture and is characterized by a bold colorful aesthetic infused with wit and humor. The artist uses bright colors to highlight the playful nature of his works, with cartoon-like figures often filling the entire visual space of his oil paintings.

André Wendland recently graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe, from Tatjana Doll's class. His work has been exhibited in galleries in Spain, Germany, France, Italy, USA, Denmark, and Luxembourg.

We look forward to your presence as we unveil this exciting exhibition.
