A fascinating journey into the heart of Luxembourg's geological history

From October 11, 2024 to March 16, 2025, the National Museum of Natural History invites you to an exceptional exhibition: "Luxembourg on the Rocks". Immerse yourself in the captivating world of rocks and discover how they have shaped our country and influenced our history.

This unique exhibition is the result of the collaboration of two exceptional curators.

Kim Totaro, one of the few Luxembourg geologists specializing in mineralogy, a true rare bird in her field. As a conservation assistant in geology-mineralogy at the MNHN, she brilliantly combines the preservation of the Luxembourg mineralogical collection with innovative research of international renown. Her commitment to conservation and research drives her work in the dynamic world of mineralogy.

At his side, Hans Fellner, a Dutch-born art and cultural historian who has lived in Luxembourg since 1993, brings a rich and varied perspective to the exhibition. With his experience as the former owner of an art bookshop and director of a Luxembourg contemporary art gallery, he now puts his vast knowledge to the service of this geological odyssey.
