Légua (Portuguese Cinema Festival)
Portuguese Film Festival
In the presence of director João Miller Guerra
A rich mansion in the north of Portugal, neglected by its heirs, is now inhabited only by a bigoted old governess. In her housework, which is done like clockwork, she is assisted by Ana, the wife of a worker who decides to go and work in France, and the mother of a teenager who is champing at the bit. Légua shows the disappearance of an old order deserted by its masters and whose servants are the last loving guardians, between the routine of submission and the reappropriation of a heritage that we know better than its owners.
