In the Petorca Valley, Chile, the landscape has turned arid, dominated by the avocado replacing traditional crops with intensive monoculture. This water-intensive agricultural practice causes severe shortages for rural communities. In addition to experiencing dried-up lands, they often depend on minimal water supply from tank trucks. This documentary gives voice to the peasants, primary victims of these ultra-liberal policies, whose way of life is completely disrupted. It offers an insight into this valley, showcasing the many environmental conflicts in Chile, one of the few countries in the world where water is privatized.

In the face of climate change, citizens and farmers from various sectors combine their efforts to jointly decide on fair transformations of their land use. A scientific experiment within the European program "Just Scapes" was conducted for fair landscapes in the Arac Valley, Ariège, France. This documentary tells their story.
