Long-lasting love, by a mistress of European theater
They met, they loved, they grew. They remember... In this poignant "pas-de-deux", an aging man and woman revive as they dance and recall their past life. First kiss, marriage, birth of their first child... to the sound of famous songs from the Italian repertoire of the 60s and 70s that marked their love, a whole life story unfolds. A major figure on the international scene, Sicilian director Emma Dante, who has already visited the NEST with Misericordia, recreates her famous duo Ballarini here in a brand new version, magnificently carried by two historical performers from her company. She tells us, from the first glance to the last, a love story full of contrasting emotions. A rare cocktail of poetry and powerful melancholy, a must-see!
