The exhibition 'Diffracted Self' at the Irène Laub Gallery invites us to reflect on the issues of memory, identity and visibility in a world marked by conflict. Faced with these troubling realities, our understanding of the world often seems diffracted, as if we were witnessing historical and contemporary resonances that intertwine.

The Irène Laub gallery presents four artists who explore this complex theme, each in their own way, by highlighting the memory of people made invisible by unresolved geopolitical conflicts. The works of Lucile Bertrand, Michèle Magéma, Cathryn Boch and Younes Baba-Ali push us to question our relationship with history and with others, while reminding us of the importance of making visible what is often left in the shadows.
