The year is 2024, and Luxembourg has become a haven for queer people; queer arts and artists are celebrated everywhere, and non-heteronormative artists do not have to struggle to get platforms. All the major cultural institutions of Luxembourg are mainstreaming LGBTIQ+ artists and their works through their program. There are self-declared safe spaces sprouting throughout the country, and "queer" has become the new normal. There is no threat. There is nothing to be afraid of... Oh... but is this true, or is this just another queer little lie that we are all too willing to believe? The Queer Little Lies festival will come back for the fourth time, and shine a light on what lies hidden beneath... The time has come again to open the doors ~ and your minds ~ to artists challenging the status quo of gender, sexuality, desire and the body. Performances, conferences, a party - a program more eclectic than ever will await you this fall. Be ready to challenge yourself because we will be doing it for you!
Good to know
La Kufa will host Queer Little Lies IV on Wednesday, November 27 at Ratelach for its opening night. On this occasion, Profx.Drx. Sand Gattus will give an animated lecture on Luxembourg queer culture, followed by the performance "querida cucaracha" by Valerie Reding.
