Encounter with Hannah Arendt's Thinking and Actions

"Without breathing, the human body is a corpse; without thought, the human mind is dead." Hannah Arendt in "The Life of the Mind."
In this lecture with discussion, the aim is to understand some stages of Hannah Arendt's life as well as important elements of her political theory. On the first evening (30.1. 2025), we will first watch excerpts from the film "Hannah Arendt" (2012) by Margarethe von Trotta and discuss its developments. On the three other evenings (27.2., 6.3., and 20.3. 2025, each at 7 p.m.), we will discuss the following topics based on short text excerpts:
