In the framework of Multiplica Lab (22 & 23.02.2025), participants will learn the basic concepts of modular synthesis taught via the free program VCV Rack. VCV Rack is digital software that allows exploration of modules, waveforms, and creative patching techniques. Participants will also learn to save and record patches, enabling them to take their patches home for personal use. No prior knowledge of modular synthesizers, VCV Rack 2, or electronic music is required. iPads with VCV Rack 2 will be provided, though bringing a personal laptop is advisable to save patches. The workshop also includes opportunities to work with physical hardware for hands-on experience. Headphones are required for this workshop.

Sonia Killmann is a saxophone player, electronic musician, and audiovisual artist with a focus on interdisciplinary work and collaborative processes.
