In Songs for Living, spirits literally take form and integrate into the world of the living, in Thailand and various other locations worldwide, guided by musician Zsela's narration in a unique symphony. The celebration of the collective, of bodies gathered in communion, also transcends into Songs for Dying, a second short film where personal archives of the artist resonate. A narrative unfolds addressing death and the history of Thailand, under its religious, technological, and political aspects.

Spirits find a body and reintegrate into the world. Thundering drums, sharp feedback, and a mystical narration by musician Zsela bring warmth to distant human bodies, from Thailand to New York, in rituals rejoicing in collective existence.

Composed from ideas within his personal archives, it combines the experience of accepting death and perceiving history with religious, technological, and political narratives. Presented as part of artist Ho Tzu Nyen's carte blanche at MUDAM, these two short films by Korakrit Arunanondchai navigate various image regimes, engaging emotionally with societal movements and Thai mythologies, with a captivating rhythm.
