Workshop | For Future Members Only. Housing Cooperatives for Luxembourg
This participative workshop is designed for those looking for housing in Luxembourg or wishing to actively contribute to the creation of affordable living spaces.
Participants will gain hands-on insights into the opportunities and benefits of cooperative housing: access to self-managed affordable housing, shared decision-making, cooperative financing, and the possibility of community living. Challenges of this model, such as the duration of founding and implementation processes, the complexity of collective decision-making structures, and potential tensions between individual and collective interests, will also be addressed.
By the end of the workshop, participants will have gained a solid understanding of the cooperative housing model and will be better prepared to determine whether it aligns with their needs. They will also acquire valuable insights into the essential steps for establishing and implementing a cooperative housing project in Luxembourg.
The workshop is led by the exhibition curator, Céline Zimmer.
Organized by LUCA as part of the exhibition "Our New Housing – An Invitation to Cooperate", with the support of the Œuvre Nationale.
