Under the direction of Isabelle Poncelet, this four-voice choir will be accompanied for certain pieces by the organ, notably in an excerpt from the Stabat Mater by Frantisek Tuma. Johann Michael Hayden (brother of Joseph Hayden) and Johann Pachelbel are also on the program. This repertoire, appropriate for the pre-Easter season, features both sacred and secular pieces, including the beautiful a cappella piece 'Northern Lights' by Norwegian composer Ola Gjeilo, inspired by the beauty of the aurora borealis in his country.
