In recent years, Turkey has shifted its stance regarding the LGBTIQ+ community. After permitting Pride for several years and launching a master’s program focusing on gender issues, the Erdogan government decided to ban Pride and proposed a new draft bill promoting traditional family structures at the expense of LGBTIQ+ rights and visibility.

The event is organized in collaboration with the Rainbow Center and Ozan, a Turkish LGBTIQ+ rights activist.
