The train is coming to the station. đźš‚
In Minett Park, you’ll find several spots:
· Fond-de-Gras valley
· The small village of Lasauvage
· The former outdoor mine “Giele Botter”
Have some fun with a lot of activities around iron ore. The best way to discover again and again the great region just around you! đź“Ť
Let's jump in our time machine and travel back a few decades earlier: at this time, Fond-de-Gras was one of the most important mining hubs in Luxemburg. When the mines closed their doors, a small team of volunteers decided to make Fond-de-Gras a superactivity to do with your family or your friends.
Just because we are nice, we made you a small program to make you spend the best family time:
- 1:20 pm: all the tribe board on the Train 1900. It’s time to go!
- 1:50 pm: free visit of Fond-de-Gras and its historical buildings. Mandatory stop by the miner’s bistro “Bei der Giedel” to have a drink!
- 3 pm: Departure of the miner train “Minnièresbunn” that links Fond-de-Gras to Lasauvage and visit of this historical village.
- 4:35 pm: back to the miner train to visit the mine and discover all its history.
- 5:45 pm: back in Pétange
- 6:10 pm: Arrival at the Platform 9 ¾ (Almost) 🧙🏻♂️. & the day is over 🙂
Have some fun from May 1st to last Sunday of September, on Sundays and public holidays in Luxemburg, from 2pm to 6 pm.
And the best is that, this summer, from July 18th to August 8th, you’ll be able to come on Thursdays. You’ll just have to check for opening hours on that specific days at minettpark.lu!
So, ready to become Charles Bronson, from miner to actor! Plan your day here ⬇️
