Have you never heard of it before? Let us give you a quick rundown. The Luxembourg Museum Days take place as part of the 47th International Museum Day, a tradition upheld since 1977. That's quite a long time ago, isn't it? đź«Ł
This year's theme is "Museums, Education and Research," highlighting the role of museums in sharing a comprehensive educational experience. It's an opportunity to promote a more aware, sustainable, inclusive, and dynamic world for everyone.
As you might have guessed, creativity, curiosity, workshops, and discovery will all be on the agenda!
In total, 37 museums are opening their doors to you: Villa Vauban, Mudam Luxembourg, Lëtzebuerg City Museum, National Museum of Natural History, National Museum of Resistance and Human Rights in Esch, Musée d'Histoire[s] Diekirch, Museum "Bataille et Châteaux" in Clervaux, and Abbey Museum in Echternach... (we're running out of space to list them all).
Art museums, history museums, science museums, technology museums – nearly 40 participating museums, just like that! One thing's for sure, there's something for every taste ✨
