NAMUR SHINES BRIGHT

First stop on your city (region) trip: the Walloon capital! During the festive season, Namur is transformed into a Christmas village, with 70 chalets (dripping with handmade delights), an ice rink, a Ferris wheel... ⛸️🎄🫕 

The perfect spot to sample local specialities and typical products that are very popular at this time of year: Christmas beers, chocolate in hot chocolate, cougnou, spéculoos, waffles, croustillons... Is your mouth watering? It's normal, so are we 🤤

But that's not all! Until January 5th, stroll through the pretty streets of Namur and marvel at the light tour. Afterwards, you'll never see the city in the same way again...

Get ready to discover Mons in a whole new light (and especially at night) with Mons en Lumières! On the menu: 25 light installations that transform the city into a veritable open-air gallery!

So don your coat, stroll through the city of Mons and feast your eyes. Awe for young and old guaranteed ✨

STATION BARAQUE DE FRAITURE

Belgium, the ‘flat country’? Well... the Parc Naturel des Hautes Fagnes will prove you wrong, with its 694 m altitude and hectares of outdoor activities for all the family! 

And yes, this winter we're taking you for a walk in a pretty corner of Wallonia! Valleys, rivers, meadows, pontoons, picturesque villages... You'll be able to shop around for walks, because there are plenty of them in the region, whether you're a pro hiker or just looking for some beautiful scenery 🌾

And pssst, climb to the top of the Butte de Baltia and you'll officially be on top of the world... in Belgium 🏔️

And if the snow joins the party, you'll find plenty to do when the country dons its white coat ☃️

Need a moment with your favourite people to cocoon in unique surroundings? From perched cabins and wooden lodges to cosy gîtes, Wallonia has plenty to pamper you this winter. 

So now's the time to play the ‘little brown bear’ in cosy mode. We'll let you imagine the crackling fireplace, a cup of hot chocolate in one hand and a good book in the other. Yes, 100 years is something to celebrate!

In Charleroi, the Musée de la Photographie is unveiling the mysteries of surrealist photography until January 26th. Head to the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Mons to get your head spinning with some surprising surrealist objects: on view until February 16th. Head for Liège (or la cité ardente to those who know it), where Paul Delvaux invites you into his poetic worlds at La Boverie. An exhibition to savour until March 16th!

Between intriguing works and imaginary worlds, these exhibitions will make you lose track of time... but we promise you an experience where anything is possible 😉 👨🏻‍🎨
